A Person Is The Pathway
"There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)
The pilot of a military plane was forced to parachute into a jungle in southeast Asia. How could he possibly find his way out?
A local man saw what had happened and came to the pilot's rescue, slashing through the tangled underbrush. The frightened pilot cried out, "Where's the road? Where's the way out?" The rescuer shouted back, "No road! I'm the way! Follow me!" The pilot trusted the man, who led him through the jungle to safety.
Some people have a difficult time accepting similar words spoken by the Lord Jesus. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).
Critics call this teaching intolerant and divisive. But because the Son of God said it, and the Word of God records it, it is true no matter how much it is challenged. Faith in Jesus is the only way to eternal fellowship with God.
The pathway to God is not found by following a creed, developing moral character, or attending church. It's found by trusting Jesus to forgive our sin and reconcile us to the Father.
When we open our hearts to the crucified and risen Savior, we are on the only pathway that will bring us home to God.

오직 한 분만이 살 길입니다.
"천하 인간에 구원을 얻을만한 다른 이름을 우리에게 주신 일이 없음이니라" (사도행전 4:12)
● 말씀을 생각하며 ●
한 군용기 조종사가 동남 아시아의 밀림속으로 낙하산을 타고 떨어졌습니다. 그가 어떻게 나갈 길을 찾을 수 있었겠습니까? 이 일이 일어난 것을 본 한 마을 사람이 얽힌 덤불 사이를 헤치며 조종사를 구하러 왔습니다. 두려움에 쌓인 조종사는 “길이 어디입니까? 어디로 나가야 합니까?” 라고 외쳐댔습니다. 구조원은 “길은 없소! 내가 길이요! 나를 따르시오!” 라고 소리쳤습니다. 조종사는 그 사람을 믿었고 밀림으로부터 안전한 곳으로 그사람을 따라 빠져 나올 수 있었습니다.
어떤 사람들은 예수님께서 하신 비슷한 말씀을 잘 받아들이지 못합니다.
예수님께서는 “내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라.” (요 14:6) 고 말씀하셨습니다.
비판자들은 이 가르침이 편협하고 분란을 일으킬 수 있다고 말합니다. 하지만 하나님의 아들이 그렇게 말씀을 하셨고 성경이 그것을 기록하고 있기 때문에 누가 무어라 해도 그 말씀은 진리입니다. 예수님을 믿는 것이 하나님과 영원한 교제를 나누는 유일한 길입니다.
하나님께로 가는 길은 교리를 따르거나 도덕적인 사람이 되거나 또는 교회에 출석하는 것으로 찾을 수 있는 것이 아닙니다. 그길은 예수께서 우리의 죄를 사하시고 하나님 아버지와 화목하게 하셨다는 것을 믿음으로써 찾을 수 있습니다. 십자가에 달려 돌아가셨다가 다시 살아나신 구주에게 우리의 마음을 열 때, 우리는 하나님의 본향으로 향하는 유일한 길 위에 서게 되는 것입니다.

많은 사람들이 주장하듯이
모든 길이 하나님께로 통하지는 않습니다
참된 길은 오직 하나
그 이름은 그리스도 예수이십니다
