He Is Here (여기 계시는 주님)
He Is Here
Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” ( Luke 24:36 )
Surprise! Surprise! The eleven apostles had gathered together on the day of Jesus' resurrection. They were discussing the strange happenings of the past few days, and had just listened to a report from two men who said they had seen Jesus.
Suddenly He was there! Then the Savior said, "Peace be with you"
(Luke 24:36).
I wonder if we realize when we meet together - at church, in our home, in our prayer meetings, in our gatherings with friends- that Jesus is also there.
He said, "Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).
Do we really believe He is with us and listens to every word we say, and that He sees all we do?
Some scholars were discussing the great authors of the past.
One asked, "What if Milton should suddenly enter the room?" "Ah!" replied another. "We would honor him and compensate him for the little recognition he received in his day."
A third man commented, "What if Shakespeare entered? Would we not all stand and proclaim him King of the Poets?"
Then someone ventured, "And if Jesus Christ should enter?"
There was a long silence, until finally one said: "But gentlemen, He is here!"

여기 계시는 주님
“예수께서 친히 그 가운데 서서 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다 하시니”
(누가복음 24:36)
● 말씀을 생각하며 ●
너무나 놀라운 일이었습니다! 예수님이 부활하신 그날 열한 명의 사도들이 함께 모여 있었습니다.
그들은 지난 며칠 사이에 일어난 이상한 일들에 대해 토론하고 있었고,예수님을 보았다고 말하는 두 사람으로부터 막 보고를 들은 후였습니다.
갑자기 예수님이 그곳에 나타나셨습니다. 그리고 “너희에게 평강이 있을지어다” (눅 24:36)라고 말씀하셨습니다.
나는 우리가 함께 모일 때,즉 교회에서나 집에서나 기도 모임에서나 혹은 다른 성도들과 함께 모일 때 예수님도 그곳에 함께 계신다는 것을 우리가 깨닫고 있는지 궁금한 생각이 듭니다.
주님은 “볼지어다. 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라” (마 28:20) 라고 말씀하셨습니다.
우리는 정말로 예수님이 우리와 함께 계시면서,우리의 말 한마디 한마디를 귀담아 듣고 우리가 하는 모든 일을 보고 계신다는 것을 믿고 있습니까?
몇몇 학자들이 과거의 저명한 작가들에 대해 토론하고 있었습니다. 한 사람이 물었습니다. “만약 갑자기 밀튼이 이 방에 들어온다면 어떻게 할까요?” 다른 사람이 대답했습니다. “아! 우리는 그에게 명예를 주고 그가 생전에 조금 밖에 인정받지 못했던 것을 보상해야겠죠.”
세 번째 사람이 말했습니다. “만일 셰익스피어가 들어오면요? 우리는 모두 일어나서 그를 시인의 왕으로 선언해야 하지 않겠습니까?”
그러자 한 사람이 과감히 나섰습니다. “그리고 만일 예수 그리스도께서 들어오시게 되면요?” 한참 동안 침묵이 흐른 뒤 마침내 한 사람이 말했습니다.
“하지만 여러분, 그분은 지금 여기 계십니다!”
그렇습니다. 예수님이 여기 계신다는 것을 기억하십시오! 주님은 보고,듣고,또한 알고 계십니다!
● 오늘의 묵상 ●
비록 주님을 볼 수 없을지라도
주님이 여기 계심을 알고 있습니다.
주님의 언약은 믿을 수 있고
주님은 언제나 가까이 계십니다.
