💙 좀 더 있다 갈래요!

✝  시편 27:1 - 27:6

“ 내가 여호와께 바라는 한가지 일... 곧 내가 내 평생에 여호와의 집에 살면서 “(시편 27:4)

잰더가 엄마와 함께 차쪽으로 가다가, 엄마의 팔을 뿌리치고 돌아서서 교회 문 쪽으로 미친 듯이 달려갔습니다. 떠나고 싶지 않았던 것입니다! 엄마는 뒤쫓아가서 집에 가자고 잰더와 애정 어린 실랑이를 벌였습니다.

마침내 엄마가 네 살 난 잰더를 다시 품에 안자, 아이는 흐느끼며 엄마의 어깨너머로 교회를 향해 손을 뻗으며 집으로 떠났습니다.

잰더는 단지 교회에서 친구들과 좀 더 놀고 싶어서 그랬을 수 있지만, 그런 아이의 열정은 하나님을 예배하려는 다윗의 열망이 어떠했을지 생생하게 보여줍니다.

다윗은 자신의 평안과 안전을 위해 원수를 물리쳐 달라고 하나님께 간구했을 수 있겠으나, 그보다는 평화가 찾아와서 “여호와의 아름다움을 바라보며 성전에서 그분을 사모할”(시편 27:4) 수 있기를 바랐습니다.

그가 진정 마음속으로 바란 것은 어디에 있든지 하나님과 함께 있고 그분의 임재를 즐거워하는 것이었습니다.

이스라엘의 가장 위대한 왕이며 전쟁의 영웅이었던 다윗은 평화로운 시간을 “노래하며 여호와를 찬송하는” 데 쓰고 싶어했습니다 (6절).

우리는 어느 곳에서든 자유롭게 하나님을 예배할 수 있습니다. 왜냐하면 하나님은 믿음을 통해 성령의 모습으로 우리 가운데 거하시기 때문입니다 (고린도전서 3:16; 에베소서 3:17).

우리가 하나님의 임재 가운데 하루하루를 보내면서 다른 신자들과 함께 모여 하나님 경배하는 것을 갈망하기를 소원합니다. 벽으로 둘러 쌓인 건물 보다하나님 안에서 우리는 안전할 뿐만 아니라 가장 큰 기쁨을 누릴 수 있습니다.

당신은 언제 하나님을 예배하고 싶은 열정적인 갈망을 가져 보셨습니까? 그런 경험을 더 자주 하지 못하는 이유는 무엇일까요?

<나의 기쁨과 즐거움이 되시는 하나님 아버지. 방해를 받거나 중단하지 않고 하나님을 예배하기를 간절히 원합니다.>

1. 여호와는 나의 빛이요 나의 구원이시니 내가 누구를 두려워하리요 여호와는 내 생명의 능력이시니 내가 누구를 무서워하리요 2. 악인들이 내 살을 먹으려고 내게로 왔으나 나의 대적들, 나의 원수들인 그들은 실족하여 넘어졌도다 3. 군대가 나를 대적하여 진 칠지라도 내 마음이 두렵지 아니하며 전쟁이 일어나 나를 치려 할지라도 나는 여전히 태연하리로다 4. 내가 여호와께 바라는 한 가지 일 그것을 구하리니 곧 내가 내 평생에 여호와의 집에 살면서 여호와의 아름다움을 바라보며 그의 성전에서 사모하는 그것이라 5. 여호와께서 환난 날에 나를 그의 초막 속에 비밀히 지키시고 그의 장막 은밀한 곳에 나를 숨기시며 높은 바위 위에 두시리로다 6. 이제 내 머리가 나를 둘러싼 내 원수 위에 들리리니 내가 그의 장막에서 즐거운 제사를 드리겠고 노래하며 여호와를 찬송하리로다

 

💙 LET ME STAY!

One thing I ask from the Lord . . . that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.

(PSALM 27:4)

As they made their way toward their car, Zander escaped his mother’s arms and made a mad dash back toward the church doors. He didn’t want to leave! His mom ran after him and tried to lovingly wrangle her son so they could depart.

When his mother finally scooped four-year-old Zander back into her embrace, he sobbed and reached longingly over her shoulder toward the church as they walked away.

Zander may merely have enjoyed playing with friends at church, but his enthusiasm is a picture of David’s desire to worship God.

Though he might have asked God to thwart his enemies for his own comfort and security, David wanted peace to prevail so that he could instead “gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple” (PSALM 27:4). His heart’s desire was to be with God— wherever He was—and to enjoy His presence. Israel’s greatest king and military hero intended to use peacetime to “sing and make music to the Lord” (V. 6).

We can freely worship God anywhere, for He now dwells within us through faith in the person of the Holy Spirit(1 CORINTHIANS 3:16; EPHESIANS 3:17).

May we yearn to spend our days in His presence and to gather corporately to worship Him with other believers.

When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. 3. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. 4. One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. 5. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. 6. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.
