 A Lesson In Praise

Read :
Psalms 150:1 - 150:6

" Praise the Lord! "
( Psalm 150:1)

Psalm 150 is not only a beautiful expression of praise, it’s also a lesson in praising the Lord.
It tells us where to praise, why we’re to praise, how we’re to praise, and who should offer praise.

Where do we praise?
In God’s “sanctuary” and “mighty firmament”(v.1). Wherever we are in the world is a proper place to praise the One who created all things.

Why do we praise?
First, because of what God does. He performs “mighty acts.” Second, because of who God is. The psalmist praised Him for “His excellent greatness”(v.2).
The all-powerful Creator is the Sustainer of the universe.

How should we praise?
Loudly. Softly. Soothingly. Enthusiastically. Rhythmically. Boldly. Unexpectedly. Fearlessly. In other words, we can praise God in many ways and on many occasions (vv.3-5).

Who should praise?
“Everything that has breath”(v.6). Young and old. Rich and poor. Weak and strong.
Every living creature. God’s will is for everyone to whom He gave the breath of life to use that breath to acknowledge His power and greatness.

Psalm 150:1-6

[1] Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
[2] Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
[3] Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp!
[4] Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
[5] Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
[6] Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

 찬양에 대한 교훈

말씀 읽기 :
시편 150:1 - 150:6

" 그를 찬양할지어다 "
( 시편 150:1)

시편 150편은 찬양의 아름다운 표현일 뿐만 아니라, 주님을 찬양하는데 대한 교훈이기도 합니다.
이 시편은 어디서 찬양하고 왜 찬양하는지, 어떻게 찬양하며 누가 찬양해야 하는지에 대해 말하고 있습니다.

어디서 찬양합니까?
하나님의 “성소”와 “권능의 궁창”(1절)에서 입니다. 우리가 이 세상 어디에 있든 그곳은 모든 것을 창조하신 분을 찬양하기에 적합한 장소입니다.

왜 찬양합니까?
첫째, 하나님이 하시는 일 때문입니다. 하나님은 “위대한 일”을 행하십니다.
둘째, 그분은 하나님이시기 때문입니다. 시편기자는 “그의 지극히 위대하심”(2절)을 따라 하나님을 찬양했습니다.
전능하신 창조주께서 우주를 떠받치고 계십니다.

어떻게 찬양해야 합니까?
크게, 부드럽게, 속삭이듯이, 열정적으로, 리듬 있게, 담대하게, 예기치 않게, 용감하게 찬양해야 합니다.
다시 말해서 여러 방법으로 다양한 상황에서 하나님을 찬양할 수 있습니다(3-5절).

누가 찬양해야 합니까?
“호흡이 있는 자마다”(6절)입니다. 젊었건 나이 들었건, 부자건 가난하건, 약하건 강하건, 모든 살아 있는 피조물은 하나님을 찬양해야 합니다.
하나님의 뜻은 하나님이 생기를 넣어주신 모든 것들이 하나님의 능력과 위대하심을 인정하는데 그 호흡을 사용하는 것입니다.

찬양은 하나님이 영광 중에 영원히 다스리는 것에 대한 우리의 열정적인 감사의 표시입니다.

이 세상 만물 다 일어나
우리 왕께 영광 돌리세
천사들 노래로 다시 강림하니
땅이 큰 소리로 아멘 외치네!

[1] 할렐루야 그의 성소에서 하나님을 찬양하며 그의 권능의 궁창에서 그를 찬양할지어다
[2] 그의 능하신 행동을 찬양하며 그의 지극히 위대하심을 따라 찬양할지어다
[3] 나팔 소리로 찬양하며 비파와 수금으로 찬양할지어다
[4] 소고 치며 춤 추어 찬양하며 현악과 퉁소로 찬양할지어다
[5] 큰 소리 나는 제금으로 찬양하며 높은 소리 나는 제금으로 찬양할지어다
[6] 호흡이 있는 자마다 여호와를 찬양할지어다 할렐루야
