"Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works." (Hebrews 10:24)

One grasshopper seems insignificant as it leaps across a field. But when it joins forces with other grasshoppers, the resulting swarm can soon devour all the vegetation in its path.

Grasshoppers demonstrate the power of working together for a common cause. What they cannot do individually, they are able to accomplish together. In the Old Testament book of Proverbs, the wise man Agur observed, "The locusts have no king, yet they all advance in ranks" (30:27).

We can learn a lesson from these little creatures. Followers of Christ can make far greater advances for Him when they act and pray together than they could ever make alone. When Christians are united in serving the Lord, they can become a mighty force for God in fulfilling His purposes for the church.

Although the New Testament urges us to possess a personal faith in Jesus Christ, it says nothing at all about a private faith. We need other believers, and other believers need us
(Hebrews 10:24-25).

Let's enjoy and contribute to the strength and fellowship of the unified body of Christ. An effective church will demonstrate the good sense of the grasshopper by our cooperation and unity in the H
oly Spirit.

 메뚜기의 교훈

“서로 돌아보아 사랑과 선행을 격려하라” (히브리서 10:24)

● 말씀을 생각하며 ●
메뚜기 한 마리가 들판을 가로질러 날아갈 때 그것은 별것이 아닐 수 있습니다. 그러나 다른 메뚜기들과 힘을 합쳐서 생긴 메뚜기떼는 지나가는 길에 있는 모든 식물을 먹어치울 수 있습니다.

메뚜기떼는 공동의 목적을 위해 같이 일할 때 나타나는 위력을 보여줍니다. 혼자서는 할 수 없는 일을 함께 함으로 해낼 수 있는 것입니다. 구약성경의 잠언에서 지혜의 사람 아굴은 “임군이 없으되 다 떼를 지어 나아가는 메뚜기”(30:27)라고 하였습니다.

우리는 이 작은 피조물에게서 교훈을 얻을 수 있습니다. 예수님을 따르는 사람들은 함께 기도하고 행할 때 혼자 할 수 있는 것보다 훨씬 더 많은 것을 예수님을 위해 이룰 수 있습니다. 하나님을 섬기는 일에 그리스도인들이 하나가 된다면 교회를 향한 하나님의 뜻을 이루는데 강력한 힘이 될 것입니다.

신약성경은 예수님에 대하여 개인적인 믿음을 가지라고 강조하고 있지만 혼자만 간직하는 믿음에 대해서 언급한 적은 없습니다. 우리에게는 다른 믿는 사람들이 필요하고, 다른 믿는 사람들에게는 우리가 필요합니다(히 10:24-25).

그리스도 안에서 한 몸으로 연합 될 때의 힘과 교제를 누립시다. 또한 이를 위해 공헌을 합시다. 성공적인 교회는 성령 안에서 하나되어 서로 협력함으로써 좋은 의미에서 메뚜기의 교훈을 보여줄 수 있습니다.

모든 믿는 사람들과 한 가족이 되어
그 믿음과 사랑의 결속으로
서로를 강하게 합니다.
